Chapter Twenty-three
On page 182, Ida thinks, "'Good job,' my heart told me. 'You won again.'" Is she right? Please make a strong effort to explain in detail how you feel about this.
I don't think Ida won the argument. Her father was angry at her about telling them about the people who moved onto the land and cut the trees down. They never finished the conversation because Ida stomped off and left the room.
Ida B was not right because how can anybody win an argument when it didn't even finish because she stormed right out of the room before it was finished.
Ida didn't win if you ask me because she stormed off before the argument was even finished and like Julia said "how can someone win a argument when it never finished."
you cant win an arguement its not finished and its not her choice her parents didnt want to sell the land, they needed to help her mother get better. Its not her land any more it must be sad but you can't go on with life if you stick with being mad.

ReplyDeleteI think Ida did not win the argument because she stomped off even befor it finished.
ReplyDeletei don't think she won because she was just mean and she left before it was finished like Tommie said.
ReplyDeleteJared and Julia, good thinking, but I wonder -- why do you think that Ida thought she won?
ReplyDeleteTommie and Justin, copying others' comments doesn't do you any good and doesn't fool me.
ReplyDeleteLillie, once again, you need to devote more time and expend more effort with your writing.

ReplyDeleteI think ida did not win because she stomped off but the pain in her left knee might just be because she knows she really did not win.
ReplyDeleteI think Ida thought she won the argument because she thinks if she gets in the last word, then you win.
