Ida is 9 years old. At the beginning of chapter 6 she says that she is 5 years old. At the end of chapter 7 she says, "and that's how it went for four years." 5 + 4 = 9.

ReplyDeleteYou can be 11 in fourth grade if you fall back a couple grades.
ReplyDeleteyes, we know, and no, you can be 11 in the 4th grade not because you fell back, it might be because they didnt make the cut-off for there age.
