Chapter Five

One of Ida B's beliefs is that "good plans are the best way to maximize fun, avoid disaster, and possibly, save the world" (page 38). What does this mean to you?  What situations in the book so far illustrate that she acts on this belief?

  1. This means to me that if you have a good idea or plan then you could always have more fun when your doing it, or before, or after. I think the situation where she would come in during the summer and the cat would hiss at her because she smelled so bad is a way she acted on this belief because of her good plan to get rid of the stink.

  2. this means to me that you should at least try to have as much while you can because when you get older you dont have much time for fun

  3. I think she is going to somehow save the world. I think her acts are that in the begining of the book she wants to hurry up with her chores.
