Chapter Eleven
Why do you think Ida divulged to Mr. Bixler that she was the school’s teacher? Do you think this was a wise move? Why do you think Mr. Bixler was so protective of Herbert?
I think Ida divulged her secret of being the teacher because then maybe he would let her speak to Herbert. And I don't think it was a good move because of the way he reacted I think he is going to tell Mr.Jordan. And I think Mr. Bixler was so protective of herbert because he doesn't want him to get in trouble, and he needs help on the farm.
I think Ida divulged her secret because I think she knew she couldn't keep the secret forever.I think Mr. Bixler was so protective over Herbert because maybe he did not go to school when he was a kid and he doesn't want Herbert to be smarter than him.
I think Herbert's dad will go to Mr.Howard and than during a lesson boom Mr.Howard will just plop in and than shut down the school by bolting the doors shut with nails. Just because Herbert's dad will be jealous that his son will have a better learning than his dad.

ReplyDeleteI agree mostly with the part that Ida knew she couldn't keep it a secret. But mabey mr.Bixler did go to school but is just very protective.
